Business cash yield: compare price with annual buyer cash flow

A practical UAE business buying and selling guide to business cash yield, with clear calculations and 40 sector examples.

A clear answer

Annual cash yield divides maintainable buyer cash flow by all initial capital. It does not include resale proceeds or measure how much effort ownership requires.

Annual cash yield = annual buyer cash flow ÷ total initial capital.

For buyers

Define the annual cash that remains after the costs needed to operate the acquired interest. Use total entry capital, including separately payable costs and opening funding.

For sellers

Present a reconciliation from reported earnings to buyer cash flow. Explain what is included in the asking price and document each adjustment.

Build the evidence

  1. Reconcile cash to operating records and bank collections
  2. Separate recurring cash from one-off receipts
  3. Check the precise shares or assets offered

Choose your sector example

Each example below demonstrates this method for a different operating model. All amounts and rates are hypothetical teaching inputs, not actual listings, UAE market averages or sector benchmarks. The figures do not establish an expected investment return. Use the actual interest offered and the financial definitions supplied for that transaction.
